Go to Find A Class Date then Select County - Pickens and then look for my name – William Youngblood and the date you want to attend. Below that is where you will Register for the Class. We will contact you when we received the roster from SLED.

Lesson Plan Purse: Pursuant to SC Code of Laws Section 23-31-215. To teach the basic knowledge.skills, and attitude necessary for owning, carrying, and using a pistol safely and legally. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

1. Understand information on the statutory and case law of this State relating to handguns and to the use of deadly force.
2. Understand information on handgun use and safety
3. Understand information on the proper storage practice for handguns, with an emphasis on storage practices that reduce the possibility of accidental injury to a child.
4. Understand how to properly secure a firearm in a holster.
5. Understand ‘cocked and locked’ carrying of a firearm. 6. Understand how to respond to a person who attempts to take your firearm from your holster.
6. Understand and apply de-escalation techniques and strategies.
7. There is a 50 question written test and 25 round live range qualification test. You need to have a 70% passing score on both

As part of my classes, I include LiveScan Digital Fingerprinting at NO COST to you, when you complete  training with me, you will leave with everything you need to file your CWP permit application with SLED.

Lastly, we have .22 caliber pistols you can rent for an additional $20.00 cash which includes 25 rounds of 22 LR ammunition. We will need to know in advance if you need a firearm
